LEBANON -- Larry A. Uttech, 74, of Lebanon, passed away on Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, at his home.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Lebanon with the Rev. Douglas Bergelin officiating. Relatives and friends may gather at Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown today from 4-8 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Memorials would be appreciated to the Lebanon Volunteer Fire Department or to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.

Larry Allen Uttech was born on Nov. 25, 1943, in Watertown, to Albert and Norma (Pieper) Uttech. Larry worked as a self-employed carpenter and also for Oliver Construction in Oconomowoc. He was very involved with the Lebanon Volunteer Fire Department and EMS for 55 years and served as chief from 1974-1987. He was a member of the Lebanon Lions Club. Hunting and fishing were his passions but he loved fish fries and ice cream. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching all games.

Larry is survived by his children: Bryan Uttech of Jefferson, Deanna (Scott) Theder of Lebanon, Shannon Uttech of Hayward, Leah (Tom Melcher) Uttech of Watertown and Gina (Joe) Novotny of Lebanon; grandchildren: Tera (Mike) Cuthrell, Melissa (Robert Meyer) Theder, Ryan (Malarie Brault) Theder, Ava Novotny and Maddie Novotny; great-grandchildren, Zoe Cuthrell, Ella Cuthrell and Lucy Cuthrell; one sister, Gilda (Rich Block) Dupre of Watertown; one nephew, Timm (Michelle) Walker; special friend Shirley Pieper of Lebanon; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Judie Uttech.
