Maine police say death of Bangor woman a homicide
BANGOR, Maine (AP) — A Maine police department says the death of a 49-year-old Bangor woman has been ruled a homicide and a man who lived at the same address has been charged with killing her in what is being described as a case of domestic violence.
Bangor police said Monday that 49-year-old Sherry Clifford was found dead on Friday evening in a Jefferson Street apartment.
An autopsy conducted on Saturday determined Clifford was the victim of a homicide, although police did not release the cause of death.
On Monday 50-year-old David Coon, who lived at the same Bangor address, was arrested and charged with murder.
Coon is being held at the Penobscot County jail.
