RENO, Nev. (AP) — A suspected drunken driver who triggered a fatal crash in south Reno has been arrested after he fled the scene on Interstate 580.

Authorities have not released the name of the suspect accused of causing the crash involving three vehicles at about 4:43 a.m. Sunday on I-580 near Meadowood Mall.

The Nevada Highway Patrol says he was driving a red Nissan Titan pickup southbound near the Moana Lane exit when he struck a red Jeep Grand Cherokee. A white Toyota Tacoma pickup then struck the Jeep and then the left side of the Nissan.

The suspect fled on foot but was apprehended by Reno police near the Moana off-ramp.
