Judge: No jail for US teen in fatal car wreck
FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — A judge has decided to give no jail time to a U.S. teenager in a drunken-driving crash that killed four people.
Ethan Couch was given 10 years’ probation Wednesday for the wreck last year that also severely injured two people.
The case has stirred fierce debate after a defense expert said Couch’s wealthy parents coddled him into a sense of irresponsibility.
The expert called the condition “affluenza.”
