Craft Beer & Spirits: Art center benefit in Guilford

February 26, 2019

Guilford Art Center is touting some local beer, spirits, music and arts — a combo that sounds tough to resist.

GAC’s Craft Beer & Spirits Tasting event will be held Friday evening, March 8, at the center on Church Street in the shoreline town.

There will be a selection of beers from Connecticut breweries, including Thimble Island Brewing Co. and Two Roads Brewing Co.; wine; nonalcoholic beverages; and whiskeys and vodka from Litchfield Distillery in northwest Connecticut. Accompanying the liquid samples will be “bar bites” food. Live music will be performed by local band One & Done.

To help with the fund-raising basis of the event, there will be a silent auction as well as an art exhibit on view in the gallery featuring work by GAC faculty. And GAC blacksmiths will be conducting live demonstrations in the blacksmith forge.

“This event will be a really fun, relaxed evening that allows people to enjoy some great drink, food, live music and exhibits, while supporting the arts,” says Guilford Art Center Executive Director Maureen Belden in a press release.

Proceeds will benefit Guilford Art Center’s educational and community programs. Reservations are limited; call or go online.
