Ark.-Little Rock 75, Jacksonville 72
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) _ Rod Smith’s 3-pointer with 4:49 left gave Arkansas-Little Rock a 64-62 lead and helped carry the Trojans to a 75-72 victory over Jacksonville in a Sun Belt Conference game Saturday.
Arkansas-Little Rock (7-3, 1-1) had trailed by 13 at halftime, 45-32, after the Dolphins outscored it 20-5 in the last eight minutes of the first half.
Cordell Robinson scored 23 points for Arkansas-Little Rock. Tony Chime added 16 points and had 11 rebounds. Jacksonville (7-4, 2-2) was led by Jerome Malloy’s 23 points. Willie Fisher had 13 points and 12 rebounds before fouling out.
Smith’s basket gave the Trojans the lead for good. The shot was his only 3-point attempt of the night.
