Beaver Dam Police Beat: Oct. 9, 2018
Domestic incident — A woman reported a man was trying to vandalize her car and apartment in the 200 block of Webster Street at 8:34 a.m. Tuesday. She did not want officer contact and she was advised to lock her doors and call back if he returned. She later called back and said he was at the daycare trying to pick up a child. Police made contact with everyone and the man was removed.
School complaint — Extra police patrol was requested in the 700 block of McKinley Street from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday due to students leaving, driving recklessly and smoking.
Accident — Police responded to an accident between two vehicles in the 1700 block of North Spring Street at 11:18 a.m. Tuesday.
Accident — Police responded to an accident between two vehicles that were removed in the intersection of University Avenue and Park Avenue at 2:32 p.m. Tuesday.
Family trouble — Police responded to a report of an incident between a woman and a woman in the 200 block of Cherokee Road at 5:53 p.m. Tuesday. There was no probable cause for an arrest. The two were separated for the evening.
Domestic incident — Police responded to a report of a domestic incident between two men in the 100 block of James Street at 6:41 p.m. Tuesday. One of the men was taken to jail on a warrant and probation hold.
Vandalism — A man reported his house was vandalized in the 300 block of Wayland Street at 7:04 p.m. Tuesday.
Unwanted person — A woman reported a man was intoxicated and pounding on her door in the 1500 block of North Center Street at 9:44 p.m. Tuesday. He was released to his residence after police contact.
