Players Who Wore No. 44 at Syracuse

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) _ Twenty-five Syracuse football players have worn 44, including the three who made the number famous _ running backs Jim Brown, Ernie Davis and Floyd Little.

Fullback Rob Konrad was the last to don the jersey, and he will join Brown, Little, Michael Owens, Bill Schoonover, Tom Stephens and Davis’ mother Marie Fleming when the number is officially retired in a ceremony at halftime of Syracuse’s game against South Florida in the Carrier Dome on Saturday.

The 25 players, their position, and the years they wore 44 are listed below:
