Police searching for man with information in ‘suspicious’ death of Fayetteville woman

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man who is believed to have information related to the Wednesday death of a Fayetteville woman.

Fayetteville police responding to a well-being check found a woman dead inside a home in the 700 block of York Road at about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Authorities have not released details about how the woman died, but have called her death suspicious.

The woman’s body has been sent to the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine her identity and cause of death, police said.

Police said they are searching for Michael John Moore Sr., 44, of the 700 block of York Road, who may have information about the woman’s death.

Authorities believe Moore may be driving a 2009 Nissan Maxima with a broken tail light and Maryland license plate 06330CH.
