Katie Frazier: All about the quality, affordable brand Morphe

August 22, 2018

www.allure.com Youtube beauty guru Jaclyn Hill's first eye shadow palette collaboration with the brand Morphe is a staple in many make-up bags.

There’s no question that Morphe is one of my favorite brands in the beauty world. I know I sound like a broken record talking about them in my videos on Facebook, but they have consecutively been a favorite since I first tried their products almost 4 years ago.

Today, I’m going to talk about some of my favorite Morphe products, and potentially get you hooked as well.

Jaclyn Hill x Morphe ($38)

Jaclyn Hill is, in my and many others’ opinion, the YouTube beauty guru queen and has successfully collaborated with Morphe three times now.

Her first collab was a palette full of 35 of her favorite Morphe eyeshadows. After the major success of that collaboration, Morphe gave her full control and she created her own palette and formula of eyeshadows. To this day, the Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Eyeshadow Palette is one of the most successful beauty collaborations of all time - and for a darn good reason.

This palette has been my top favorite palette of all time, along with so many other beauty lovers. Her palette offers you the perfect amount of neutrals and pops of color with the most buttery, blend-able formula I have tried in a long time.

You can create a staple, natural everyday look or something super smokey and dramatic with this outstanding palette.

And Morphe and Jaclyn have collaborated again! Their latest launch was actually just recently on Aug. 14 in which they released “The Vault.”

When Jaclyn created the Jaclyn Hill x Morphe palette, she created a lot of different colors, but only 35 made the cut to her original palette and the other shades got put in the vault. Her original palette is such high demand and so popular that she decided to release the other shades and put them into four different palettes.

The Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Vault is currently sold out, but will be back in stock soon. The Vault comes with all four palettes and retails for $49, and if you use her discount code, (JACATTACK) it will save you an extra 10 percent off. You can also get the palettes individually on Morphe’s website (www.morphebrushes.com), online at Ulta or in all Ulta and Morphe stores.

Continuous Setting Mist ($15)

What’s my secret to keeping my makeup on all day? Setting spray, of course. I have a lot of setting sprays that I like, in fact, they are one of my favorite products to try out.

The Morphe Continuous Setting Mist is one that I have repurchased 4 to 5 times now. What makes this one so different and special, you ask?

The mist of this spray is so even and micro fine and comes in an aerosol can. So many setting sprays can leave splotches over your perfect makeup, and that is a no-go here. Continuous Setting Mist goes on perfect every single time and leaves you with radiant looking skin. Grab yourself a can and thank me later.

39A Dare to Create ($34)

The name of this palette is spot on, and the layout is so creative itself. The Morphe 39A Dare to Create palette was a limited edition holiday release that was in very high demand, and all of us “Morphe babes” wanted it back - so Morphe listened.

This palette was so intelligently made because it has a full row of supersized transition shades, which is brilliant, because those are the shades that you will go through before any other ones. The palette also offers a beautiful color story and you can create so many different looks with it, from a smokey blue look, to a plum look, to a very neutral golden look. Its a staple in my collection and I highly recommend this one for yours.

35O Nature Glow ($23)

Looking for an everyday, neutral palette? Look no further - the Morphe 350 Nature Glow Palette.

This neutral palette has everything that you will possibly need, from cool tone neutrals to warm tone neutrals, shimmers and matte shades. You can easily take this from day to night with its versatility.

This was one of my first ever purchases from Morphe’s eyeshadows and the palette that, hands down, got me addicted to the brand. I recommend all of these Morphe products, obviously, but this one especially if you’re new to eyeshadow, this is the one that you will reach for everyday to practice with - I guarantee it.

Highlight and Contour

Sponge ($7)

I know you’re wondering what makes this sponge more special than the ones you can find at your local drugstore - and the answer is the shape and the fluffiness.

Not only does this sponge apply makeup effortlessly, but the shape is truly what makes it so special. One end has a pointed edge that makes it super easy to reach tricky areas like the inner corner of your eyes and around your nostrils. It blends liquids and creams like a dream when used wet (I always use my sponges wet for a more airbrushed look). Give this one a try next time you need to replace your sponge. It’s sold out on Morphe’s website right now, but you can snatch it at Ulta.

HH Square Snakeskin

Case ($20)

There goes Morphe getting all creative again. I have never seen a makeup brush case like this in my life.

It saves me so much space when traveling or packing up to go to a client. This faux snakeskin has a magnetic closure and, when opened, it’s big enough to hold almost all (I have too many) of my Morphe brushes.

It was one of those purchases I didn’t know I needed until I actually started using it, and now I can’t picture my makeup world without it.

Face Palettes (prices vary)

Morphe’s face palettes are some of my top favorites, especially their blush palettes. If you are a makeup artist, having face palettes in your collection saves so much money and space.

Morphe offers blush palettes (my fave), bronzing palettes and highlight palettes suitable for all skin tones.

Their “Sculpt & Shimmer” Palettes retail for $25 and includes four sculpting/bronzing shades and four highlight shades. Their “Pro Blush” palettes retail for $20, and they offer a warm toned and cool toned palettes with 8 shades in each.

Morphe has been doing a lot of growing in the past few years, and I feel like I’m kind of a part of it. I have been a “morphe babe” since around the very beginning and have watched the brand start from the bottom.

They are now in Ulta stores and you can shop their products on Ulta’s website, as well. Another thing about Morphe that I love is they also have a payment plan option called “Afterpay.” The way it works is easy and simple - just add at least $35 worth of product to your bag, and select “Afterpay” at checkout and you will receive your purchase and pay for it with four interest-free payments due every two weeks. How amazing, right? Morphe is, once again, one of my favorite brands as a whole, and as a loyal customer and fan of their work, I am so proud of their growth. I hope you decide to give them a try - if you haven’t already.
