Public asked to help ID robbery suspect

The Fort Wayne Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a robbery suspect.

A man wearing a gray Echo hooded sweatshirt, a black hood, black pants and white shoes entered the Circle K, 2304 Sherman Blvd., on Sunday morning, police said.

The white man, in his 30s, 5-foot-6, with brown hair and a beard asked for three $50 lottery tickets, then demanded cash.

The victim told police she did not see a gun, but the man acted as though he had one.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 260-436-7867.

Man hit by car in critical condition

A man was in critical condition after being hit by a car on North Clinton Street at Coliseum Boulevard about 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Witnesses told Fort Wayne police the man tried to cross from the east side of North Clinton to the west side and walked into the path of a northbound car that had the right-of-way, police said.

Clinton Street was closed two hours while police investigated.

Motorcyclist in fatal crash ID’d

A Fort Wayne man died when the motorcycle he was riding crashed in the 5600 block of West Jefferson Boulevard on Oct. 3, the Allen County coroner said Tuesday.

Paul A. Briner, 48, died from blunt force injuries to his head and his death has been ruled an accident, the coroner said.

There have been 26 traffic fatalities in Allen County this year.
