Marshall hosting video art exhibition
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) — Marshall University is hosting a video art exhibition this week.
The university says in a news release the School of Art and Design will host “Acts of Seeing and Hearing” from Monday through Friday at Marshall’s Visual Arts Center in Huntington.
The statement says the exhibit will feature the works of eight artists who incorporate various approaches into their work, including video, software, sound and electronics.
Assistant professor of graphic design and digital media Daniel Dean says the recent launch of a video production major at the university “marks an embrace of the importance of video across our culture today.”
