Street dispute ends with teen boy shot, critically wounded

August 21, 2018

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Authorities say a street dispute in Philadelphia ended with a 15-year-old boy being shot and critically injured.

The shooting occurred around 11:30 p.m. Monday.

Authorities say the victim, the 14-year-old shooter and at least one other male were all “hanging out together” when an argument apparently broke out. They say the victim and the shooter knew each other, but declined to provide further details.

The alleged shooter was arrested Tuesday at his home. Authorities say it’s not clear what sparked the dispute.

The wounded teen is hospitalized in critical but stable condition. Further details on his injuries were not disclosed.
