Mich. School Bus Crash Injures 21

LAKE ODESSA, Mich. (AP) _ A vehicle crashed into a school bus in heavy fog early Friday, injuring more than two dozen students, at least five of them seriously, the Ionia County sheriff’s office said.

At least 21 people were treated at hospitals. An unknown number of others were treated at the scene, officials said.

The injured children’s conditions and ages were not immediately released.

The crash happened about 7:20 a.m. on a highway near Lake Odessa, a town of about 2,300 residents 30 miles east of Grand Rapids. The students attend Lakewood Public Schools, the sheriff’s office said.

No details were released about either driver.

The National Weather Service had issued a fog advisory for much of western Michigan on Friday morning.
