New Hampshire disaster declaration includes Merrimack County
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — A federal disaster declaration for New Hampshire following a severe storm and flooding in October has been amended to include Merrimack County.
President Donald Trump approved the initial declaration in January, making funds available on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and the repair or replacement of damaged facilities in Belknap, Carroll, Coos, Grafton and Sullivan counties. Federal funding also was available on a cost-sharing basis for hazard mitigation measures statewide.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency said Friday the declaration now includes Merrimack County and funds for public assistance, assistance for emergency work and the repair or replacement of disaster-damaged facilities.
