Police offer reward for information on gun theft

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (AP) — Police in Rhode Island are offering a $1,500 reward for information leading to the arrest of two suspects who they say stole a gun from a shooting range.

WPRI-TV reports the theft happened Aug. 31 at Bullseye Shooting Supplies in Woonsocket. Police say one of the suspects asked for help finding ammunition while the other man stole a .22-caliber pistol from a countertop display. Officials say the suspects then fled in a dark Toyota sedan.

Authorities have released surveillance images of the suspects.

Anyone with information on the suspects should contact the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
