Fan struck with puck OK

January 2, 2019

The infant who was struck with a puck during the second period of the Komets’ 4-3 loss to the Brampton Beast on Monday Night was released from the hospital at about 1 a.m. and is home and OK. She’s got a bruise on her head but had been checked out for precautionary reasons. The fortunate thing is that the puck had deflected off one or two things before hitting the child. She is the niece of Komets player Justin Hodgman. It was a scary moment for everyone in the building, so hopefully it gives anyone who was nervous some comfort on this New Year’s Day.
