Brenda L. Nelson
JEFFERSON -- Brenda L. Nelson, 53, of Jefferson, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Thursday, June 7, 2018.
She was born on April 20, 1965, in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Frank and Bonnie (Welch) Fenner. She married Steven Nelson on July 8, 2006, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Jefferson. Brenda enjoyed crossword puzzles and game shows. She loved to listen to country music. Brenda was kind and loved to help others in any way she could. Brenda had two children (James and Melissa “Missy”) and two stepchildren (Melissa and Joe) that she loved dearly and would do anything for. Brenda was married to her husband Steve for a wonderful 12 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going for walks with the love of her life Steve and faithful companion Sparky. Along with family she enjoyed long conversations on the phone with her sister Bridgett. Brenda and her daughter Melissa shared a very special and unique bond together.
Brenda worked at the Pine Cone Travel Plaza for 20+ years. She was a very spunky person who enjoyed to laugh, sing and dance around while listening to music. She was well-loved by everyone around her, from family to friends to new acquaintances that only got to know her for a short time. She had a special way of touching everyone’s hearts while leaving an everlasting impression on everyone’s hearts. With her lasting impression and in the words of our beloved mother, sister, wife and daughter, “keep on fighting.”
She will be deeply missed by her family: husband Steven Nelson of Jefferson; her children James Bristol of Whitewater, Melissa (Troy) Lueloff of Jefferson; stepchildren Melissa (Thomas) Samuel of Fort Atkinson, Joseph Nelson of Lomira; grandchildren Lucas and Ethan Samuel; her adopted mother Antoinette Fenner of Helenville; sisters Bernice (Richard) Sweo of Rhinelander, Debbie (David) Kopplin of Watertown, Barbara Watters of Cambria, Karen Bankert of Westby, Pauline Rams of Oconomowoc, Bridgett (“Buster”) Nelson of Houston, Texas; brothers Dennis Fenner of Jefferson, Mike (Lori) Fenner of Watertown, Tom (Getta) Fenner of Watertown, Henry (Bonnie) Fenner of Watertown, James Fenner of Amhurst; her faithful companion Sparky and her grand-dog Demon.
