Pittsfield man sentenced in fed child porn case
BOSTON (AP) — A Pittsfield man has been sentenced to 50 years federal prison for recording himself raping three girls under age 13 and making sexually explicit photographs of a 2-year-old.
Thirty-four-year-old Jason Gendron was sentenced Monday by U.S. District Judge William Young, who said he has never seen a case that descended to such “depths of depravity.”
Gendron pleaded guilty in July to 16 counts of sexual exploitation of minors by producing pornograpy and one count of possessing child pornography.
Prosecutors said the girls in the 16 video clips were between the ages of 3 and 13. All the children were in his direct care.
Gendron pleaded guilty this month to related state child rape and indecent assault charges. He is expected to be sentenced Tuesday to at least 25 years to be served concurrently with the federal sentence.
