3 arraigned in weekend shooting in South Boston
BOSTON (AP) — Three men have been arraigned in connection with a weekend shooting death in South Boston.
Dwayne Diggs, of Randolph and Dondre Snow, of Dorchester, were held without bail Monday after pleading not guilty to murder charges. Daquan Peters, of Boston, was held on $100,000 bail on gun and drug charges.
Prosecutors say two of the suspects were placed at the scene by court-ordered GPS monitoring devices.
They were arrested Saturday night shortly after the shooting death of 38-year-old Maurice Scott, described by his brother as a construction worker with three children.
Prosecutors did not disclose a possible motive.
Family and friends of the suspects and victim shouted at and shoved each other on the courthouse steps after the arraignment.
The slaying was the city’s 33rd homicide of the year.
