DETROIT _ Honda is recalling about 1.2 million vehicles in North and Central America because their Takata air bag inflators can explode and send shrapnel into the vehicle interiors. The recall covers many of Honda’s most popular models from 2001 through 2010. The inflators covered by the recall were used as replacement parts in recalls that began in 2014. DETROIT _ Attorneys for Tesla CEO Elon Musk say he should not be found in contempt of court because he has complied with the terms of a securities fraud settlement. The attorneys wrote in documents filed Monday night that a Feb. 19 tweet by Musk merely restated prior disclosures on electric car production volumes. The Securities and Exchange Commission alleges the tweet was inaccurate and violated a requirement for tweets that could influence Tesla’s stock price to be approved by a company lawyer. Conference tournaments could set up marquee matchups this week to boost the best postseason resumes with Selection Sunday looming at the end of the week.
