PITTSBURGH _ Hundreds of protesters — many openly carrying guns — are expected in downtown Pittsburgh to rally against the city council’s proposed restrictions on some firearms and ammunition. SAXONBURG, Pa. _ Police say a western Pennsylvania high school student has been arrested after posting a Snapchat video of himself shooting a gun with a caption reading “Training for Prom Walk.” According to WPXI-TV , a criminal complaint says the video showed 18-year-old Jason Bowen, of Middlesex Township, firing multiple rounds from an assault rifle. HARTFORD, Vt. _ A man forced a woman and her child into a car in New Hampshire, drove to Vermont, sexually assaulted the woman, and was apprehended in Pennsylvania after a manhunt and car chase, authorities said. Everett Simpson, 41, forced a woman and her child into their car outside the Mall of New Hampshire in Manchester on Saturday and drove to Vermont, police said. He then sexually assaulted the woman, authorities said. When the woman and the child reached safety, they called the police. SENT: 260 words.

CHICAGO _ The Philadelphia Eagles were desperately seeking a lift with little time left to save their season. Nick Foles came through for the defending Super Bowl champions. And he did it just in time. Foles threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Golden Tate on fourth down in the final minute, and the Eagles hung on for a 16-15 wild-card victory over the Chicago Bears after Cody Parkey’s missed field goal hit the upright and crossbar.
