Shawsheen, Littleton Capture Solid Victories

Owen Sullivan scored 6 goals as Shawsheen Tech beat Northeast, 13-3, in a Commonwealth Athletic Conference boys lacrosse game.


SHAWSHEEN 13, NORTHEAST 3 —Conor Rooney netted 3 goals and had 2 assists for the Rams (14-3).

Dylan Timmons checked in with 2 goals and 2 assists, while Dave Fraser and Dan Lee added 1 goal and 1 assist each.

Jonah Varallo made 15 saves in goal.

Ryan Quinones had a strong game on defense.

CENTRAL CATHOLIC 10, DRACUT 4 — Shane McInnis, Michael Finneran and Sam Larcome potted 2 goals each as Central Catholic defeated Dracut in a Merrimack Valley Conference game.

David Olsen (12 saves) had a strong game in goal for Central Catholic (14-2, 12-1 MVC).

XAVERIAN 9, BILLERICA 7 — Xaverian outlasted Billerica in a non-league game.

Matt Milano and Garrett Murphy netted 2 goals each for the Indians (9-8).

Jack Hutchings, Myles Jean and Colby Cyrus potted 1 goal apiece.

Ian Gibbons made 9 saves in goal.

LITTLETON 10, TYNGSBORO 8 — Will Scott recorded 3 goals and added an assist to power Littleton in the battle of the Tigers.

Gavin Bergeron (2 assists) and Chris Berger (assist) each recorded 2 goals for Littleton.

Adding a goal each were Pat Riordon and Tim Kelleher. Luke Witherell made 12 saves.

For Tyngsboro, Mitch Anderson collected 4 goals, Tom Michaud netted 3 goals, and Dillane Hyland had 1 goal.

ST. BERNARD’S 16, NORTH MIDDLESEX 3 — Despite a 2-goal performance from Theo Koleman, the Patriots were overpowered by the Bernardians (15-2) in Townsend.

North Middlesex fell to 5-8.


SHAWSHEEN 13, NORTHEAST 1 — Senior captain Megan Brown tallied 2 goals, including the 100th one of her varsity career, to spark the Rams to the easy victory in Billerica.

Devin Sweeney powered the offense with 4 goals, while Kara Ippolito tallied 3 goals. Also finding the back of the cage were Rachael Halas, Jade Sweeney, Hailey Winn and Abbie Wood.

PELHAM 15, LEBANON 8 — The Pythons await their seeding in the NHIAA Division 3 tournament after wrapping up their regular season with another win.

Pelham will take a 10-4 record into the tournament.
