Chandler-area Realtor accused of burglarizing clients’ homes
CHANDLER, Ariz. (AP) — Police say a real estate agent is behind multiple home burglaries in the Chandler area.
Chandler authorities booked 35-year-old Paul John Stolarik on Thursday on five felony counts of second-degree burglary.
Chandler police spokesman Seth Tyler says investigators of a burglary last December discovered three similar incidents during that month and a fifth in August 2016. They were all in Chandler, Gilbert and Mesa.
Tyler says each burglary occurred in a residence that was listed for sale and only jewelry was taken.
Stolarik was the agent showing all the homes involved.
According to charging documents, Stolarik admitted after his arrest that he used a lockbox code and key to enter the homes.
Investigators are now working to see if there may be other victims.
