Sapstead to serve as interim UK Anti-Doping chief
LONDON (AP) — Nicole Sapstead will serve as interim chief executive of Britain’s anti-doping agency.
Sapstead, the current director of operations for U.K. Anti-Doping, was appointed Thursday as the interim replacement for Andy Parkinson, who announced earlier this month that he is leaving to become CEO of British Rowing at the end of the year.
UKAD said the recruitment of a permanent chief executive is continuing.
UKAD chairman David Kenworthy says Sapstead’s appointment “will help us manage a smooth transition to a permanent appointment in the spring.”
