Ohio man, 19, dies after motorcycle crash

PATRIOT, Ohio - A Patriot, Ohio, teen died after crashing his motorcycle in Gallia County on Sunday afternoon.

According to the Gallipolis Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the single-vehicle crash occurred at about 4:15 p.m. on County Road 40 (Patriot Road) near Ohio 775.

Madison A. Thomas, 19, of Patriot, was traveling northeast on the road on his 2008 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle when it slid off the right sight of the road and struck a guard rail, according to police.

The road was closed for about three hours as a result of the crash, which remains under investigation.
