Mohegan Sun: Benn talks about WWII mystery

September 18, 2018

James Benn will be talking about his latest World War II mystery “Solemn Graves” at Mohegan Sun.

The longtime coastal Connecticut resident, who now lives in Florida, has built a large readership for his series of novels about Billy Boyle, a young Boston cop turned World War II military investigator, whose assignments have resulted in the character crossing paths with such real-life figures as John F. Kennedy.

Boyle’s family connection to Dwight D. Eisenhower — the general is Billy’s cousin’s husband — gives him more clout than the average military cop.

In the new book, Boyle is sent to Normandy in the time right after D-Day to solve the murder of an American officer in a heavily guarded military outpost near the front.

Cabaret Theatre, Mohegan Sun, 1 Mohegan Sun Boulevard, Uncasville. Thursday, Sept 27 at 7 p.m. $28.66-$5. 888-226-7711
