Sanmina: Fiscal 1Q Earnings Snapshot
SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) _ Sanmina Corp. (SANM) on Monday reported fiscal first-quarter net income of $38 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the San Jose, California-based company said it had net income of 54 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and stock option expense, were 83 cents per share.
The electronics manufacturing services company posted revenue of $2.19 billion in the period.
For the current quarter ending in April, Sanmina expects its per-share earnings to range from 70 cents to 80 cents.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $1.9 billion to $2 billion for the fiscal second quarter.
Sanmina shares have climbed 13 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $27.25, a fall of slightly more than 2 percent in the last 12 months.
