Miami’s Martin, Gardener Doubtful
DAVIE, Fla. (AP) _ Wide receiver Tony Martin and defensive tackle Daryl Gardener remain doubtful for the Miami Dolphins Sunday night game against Baltimore.
Martin’s sprained left foot remained in a cast Wednesday. Gardener, who has not missed a game in his five-year NFL career, has a herniated disc in his back.
Neither player practiced Wednesday.
Martin, the Dolphins’ leading receiver with eight catches for 139 yards, will undergo tests again Thursday.
Gardener’s back condition is a progressive problem. He missed several days of practice during training camp because of stiffness in his back, but the injury is not considered a long-term problem if Gardener takes care of it now.
