Man In Critical Condition After Grader Overturns
NEWPORT, Tenn. (AP) _ A man was in critical condition Tuesday after spending two hours pinned beneath his overturned road grader, authorities said.
Robert Lunsford, 43, of Crosby was grading a road and working on ditches Monday on the farm of Lemmie Wilson when the grader tipped over and rolled down a 40-foot embankment, said Wilson.
Dr. Michael Hood of Newport said Lunsford suffered a crushed pelvis, fractured upper leg and internal injuries. Lunsford was carried by helicopter to Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville.
