No. 25 Mississippi 82, Jackson St. 41
OXFORD, Miss. (AP) _ Reserve Tiffany Archie scored 14 points to lead No. 25 Mississippi to an 82-41 victory over Jackson State on Monday.
The lopsided victory gave the Lady Rebels (8-1) their sixth consecutive victory.
With Ole Miss leading 14-7 in the first half, Kim Gilchrist scored eight points to spark a 22-4 run that blew the game open. Jackson State (3-3), which shot just 25.7 percent from the floor, was scoreless over a five-minute stretch during that run.
Ole Miss led 44-18 at the half and continued went on a 12-4 spurt to start the second half.
Archie scored all her points in the second half and Kacy Williams had eight of her 11 after intermission.
Gilchrist added 11 points while Clara Jackson and Diane Pimpton had 10 apiece.
Carla Lucas led the Lady Tigers with 13 points.
