A Norfolk man who had been wanted by law enforcement officers in Stanton County was located Thursday evening and taken into custody.
Sheriff Mike Unger said members of the public shared numerous tips to law enforcement about the whereabouts of 41-year-old Jerimiah Hupke, who had been wanted on a domestic assault charge.
As a results of the information provided, law enforcement officers were able to locate him hiding in a residence Thursday at about 6:15 p.m. He is currently incarcerated on a $10,000 bond, Unger said.
“We really appreciate the public’s cooperation and help,” he said.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Hupke was being sought in connection to the assault of an adult female last week at a Woodland Park residence. He also allegedly refused to let the victim leave the residence for a period of time.
