HIGHLANDS RANCH — Funeral services are being held Friday for a sheriff’s deputy shot and killed in suburban Denver by a man whose mental health problems had previously raised alarms. Law enforcement officers from around Colorado are scheduled to join a motorcade taking the body of 29-year-old Zackari Parrish to Cherry Hills Community Church in Highlands Ranch, not far from the apartment complex where he was shot and killed Sunday. DEPUTIES DOWN-COLORADO

DENVER — Investigators found several firearms in the apartment of a man who killed a Colorado sheriff’s deputy and wounded six people, including four other officers, authorities said Thursday. Douglas County sheriff’s spokeswoman Lauren Lekander declined to describe the number or type of weapons found in Matthew Riehl’s apartment, but authorities said earlier that at least one was a rifle. That’s not unusual; but anything ordinary about the morning vanished when Adame, of Powell, realized his mobile home was on fire. “When I woke up, I was sitting on top of the fire,” Adame said Wednesday. MISSING DOG-$20K REWARD — The owner of a missing service dog in northwest Wyoming has put up a $20,000 reward for its return. Patrick Delaney, who is the property manager or the dog’s owner in Jackson Hole, says the offer is real.
