Pittsburgh woman charged with robbing Troy Hill bank

Pittsburgh police have arrested a woman suspected of robbing a bank in Pittsburgh’s Troy Hill neighborhood.

Shakihya Ruffin, 20, of Pittsburgh is charged with two counts of robbery and one count of receiving stolen property. She was arrested during a traffic stop about 5:40 p.m. Monday, according to police.

Ruffin allegedly robbed the WesBanco bank on Lowrie Street on Friday morning.

She entered the bank at 11:23 a.m., wearing sunglasses and a camoflauge hat. She demanded money, police said. No weapon was shown. The woman took off with an undisclosed amount of money.

No injuries were reported.
