Jason A. Haden, 42, of Kankakee, passed away Friday (Sept. 21, 2018) due to a heart attack.

He was born May 17, 1976, in Chicago, the son of Gary Haden and Debbie (Diffy) Rice.

Jason was co-owner of Wizard Productions. He was a sound technician and drummer for several bands over the years, including the Silhouettes. He was a fan of the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and University of Illinois sports. Jason loved music. He had a contagious laugh and always had a smile on his face.

Surviving are one daughter, Alexandria West, of Connecticut; his father, Gary (Anna Marie) Haden, of Elk Grove Village; his mother, Debbie Rice and Bart Mauger, of Newport, Tenn.; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Leanne and Mike Shelley, of Bourbonnais, and Lindsey Rice, of Sevierville, Tenn.; one brother and sister-in-law, Jeremy and Jenny Haden, of Ridgeland, S.C.; several aunts and uncles; many nieces and nephews; and many special friends.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home in Kankakee. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, also at the funeral home. The Rev. Greg Eilders will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
