Sabres’ Hasek Out for Two Games

February 18, 1999

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) _ A strained groin will keep Dominik Hasek out of the Buffalo Sabres’ lineup for the next two games.

Sabres General Manager Darcy Regier said the goaltender sustained the injury during Wednesday’s 3-2 loss against Toronto.

Hasek will sit out Friday’s home game against San Jose and Sunday’s meeting with Detroit at home.

The Sabres recalled goaltender Martin Biron from the AHL Rochester Americans. To make room for Biron, Jay McKee, who has a bruised foot, was placed on injured reserve.
