HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP Red Raiders shut out Wildcats

WATERBURY — Ja’kwan Hale caught three touchdown passes and Damian Caruso rushed for two more scores to lead Derby over Wilby, 30-0, in a NVL football game Friday night.

Hale scored on touchdown passes of 40, 3 and 15 yards from Zerion Montgomery while Caruso rushed for 101 yards on 18 carries, including scoring runs of 2 and 6 yards.

Davon Wilson had three sacks to lead the defense for the Red Raiders (2-3).

The Wildcats’ record fell to 1-4.
