LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Tora Suber scored 17 points to lead five Virginia players in double figures as the No. 6 Cavaliers routed UCLA 77-55 in the second game of the Pac-10-ACC Challenge on Friday night.
Southern California defeated Maryland 68-62 in the first game at Pauley Pavilion.
Suber keyed a decisive 18-2 run by scoring the first five points on a 3-pointer and a layin after a steal to snap a 47-all tie with 9:45 remaining.
Virginia (7-2) increased its lead to 65-49 with 6:20 to play and put the game out of reach.
Wendy Palmer added 12 points and nine rebounds, Jeffra Gausepohl 11 points and Monick Foote and Mimi McKinney 10 each.
Zrinka Kristich, Tawana Grimes and Kisa Hughes each scored 12 points for the Bruins (4-4), who lost their third straight.
All but two of Kristich’s points came in the first half, which saw eight ties and eight lead changes before the teams battled to a 28-all tie.
Virginia, which shot 61 percent in the second half, will play USC and Maryland will meet UCLA on Saturday.
