Body of Teen Kidnapped During 911 Call Believed to Be Found
PINE BLUFF, Ark. (AP) _ A body found Sunday in a shallow grave is believed to be that of a 16-year- old girl abducted from Texas as she pleaded with a 911 dispatcher for help, authorities said.
Clothes belonging to Lisa Rene were found on the body, said Robert Satkowski, an FBI special agent. The body was found in a nature preserve near Pine Bluff, about 45 miles south of Little Rock.
The body was sent to the state Crime Laboratory for positive identification.
Three men have been charged in the kidnapping. Lisa was the sister of two men who allegedly cheated one of the suspects in a drug deal, investigators have said.
The girl was abducted Sept. 24 from her apartment in Arlington, Texas. While talking to a 911 dispatcher, she said men were at her door who had identified themselves as the FBI.
″They’re trying to break down my door 3/8 Hurry up 3/8″ she said, according to a tape of the call.
A muffled scream is heard seconds later, with a man saying, ″Who you on the phone with?″ The line then went dead.
The three suspects - Orlando Hall, 23, of Pine Bluff; his brother, Demetrius Hall, 19, of El Dorado; and Steven Beckley, 22, of Irving, Texas - waived extradition from Arkansas on Friday.
They were being held in a county jail in El Dorado, about 90 miles south of Pine Bluff and were expected to be returned to Arlington within days. A prosecutor described Orlando Hall as a drug dealer with a long record.
The girl had moved to Arlington recently from the Virgin Islands. She was living with a sister and brother.
