Wizards have four preseason games on local TV, including against Chinese team

Four of the Washington Wizards’ five preseason games next month will be televised by NBC Sports Washington, including their final exhibition game against a Chinese club.

Only the Wizards’ fourth game on the slate, a contest at the Detroit Pistons, will not be broadcast locally, according to the NBA’s master schedule released Wednesday.

In case you missed it, here is the Wizards’ full preseason schedule:

New York Knicks at Wizards, Monday, Oct. 1, 7 p.m., NBC Sports Washington Miami Heat at Wizards, Friday, Oct. 5, 7 p.m., NBC Sports Washington Wizards at New York Knicks, Monday, Oct. 8, 7:30 p.m., NBC Sports Washington Wizards at Detroit Pistons, Wednesday, Oct. 10, 7 p.m., Fox Sports Detroit Guangzhou Long-Lions at Wizards, Friday, Oct. 12, 7 p.m., NBC Sports Washington

It will be the second straight season the Long-Lions, a Chinese Basketball Association team, play a preseason game at Washington.

The Wizards then host the Heat on Thursday, Oct. 18 to open the regular season.
