Sheriff ’s Office reports multiple drug arrests

IRONTON: The following information was compiled from Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office reports:

DRUG POSSESSION: Following a traffic stop last week, a sheriff’s deputy arrested two people, William B. Thompson, 45, of Township Road 1030, South Point, and Kyle C Richardson, 42, of County Road 1, South Point, on charges of possession of heroin and possession of drugs and transported them to jail.

CONVEYANCE OF DRUGS: Responding to a call about a shoplifter Sunday, a sheriff’s deputy arrested Tara M. Payne, 30, of Louisville, Kentucky, on charges of possession of heroin, conveyance of drugs onto the grounds of a detention facility and misdemeanor theft. She was transported to jail.

DRUG POSSESSION: Responding to a domestic call Sunday, a sheriff’s deputy arrested Jalen O. Thomas-Goodwin, 21, of the 500 block of Adams Avenue, Huntington, on a charge of bulk possession of drugs and transported him to jail.

DRUG POSSESSION: Following a traffic stop Monday, a sheriff’s deputy arrested Bessie J. Daniels, 34, of Pike Street, Coal Grove, on a charge of possession of meth. She also was arrested on an outstanding warrant and transported to jail.

BREAKING AND ENTERING: Responding to a call last week, a sheriff’s deputy arrested Ashleigh Calhoun, 32, of Maysville, Ky., on charges of breaking and entering and resisting arrest and transported her to jail.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: A 44-year-old Ironton area woman reported last week that her husband shoved her into a closet before grabbing her glasses from her face, throwing them and breaking them. She said he the slapped her in the face, grabbed her by the neck, pinned her to the ground and threatened her.
