DENTS RUN — A father-son pair of treasure hunters are challenging the FBI’s position that nothing was found during an excavation aimed at uncovering a fabled cache of Civil War-era gold. Dennis and Kem Parada say they believe dozens of gold bars might have been buried in the woods near Dents Run, about 135 miles (220 kilometers) northeast of Pittsburgh, around the time of the Battle of Gettysburg. — ARMED STANDOFF-PITTSBURGH — A man accused of shooting and wounding another man who had allegedly borrowed his ladder and then sold it for drug money is now facing charges following a standoff with police.

— POLICE PURSUIT-CRASH — Authorities say a police pursuit of a theft suspect driving a stolen vehicle ended when the vehicle crashed in a driveway.

— NEIGHBOR SHOOTS NEIGHBOR — Philadelphia police say a woman shot her neighbor twice, leaving him in critical condition.
