James Laing, 83, Reeseville

James H. Laing, 83, Reeseville, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2018, at Aurora Summit Hospital in Summit.

The visitation will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Reeseville on Saturday, Sept. 8, from 10 a.m. until noon. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home on Saturday at noon with the Rev. Rick Lang officiating. Burial will be at Reeseville Cemetery.

James Harold Laing was born Jan. 3, 1935, in Milwaukee, to Franklin H. and Lucenee B. (McNutt) Laing. On Sept. 28, 1985, James was united in marriage with Edna A. Hornick in West Bend. James worked in quality control for Chrysler Outboard Motors in Hartford for many years but his true passion was photography. He owned and operated a photography studio, and after his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking and repairing antique furniture. James was a member of the National Guard, working with the Medical Corporation for 10 years.

James is survived by his children, Rennie Laing of Milwaukee, Jamie (Nick) Katzfey of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Todd (Theresa) Laing of Tucson, Arizona, and Niles Laing of Tucson, Arizona; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; siblings, Geraldine (Gerald) Galaska of Menomonee Falls, Judith Trokan of Menomonee Falls and Rick (Mary) Laing of Fond du Lac; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife in 2014.
