Free Flu Vaccine Clinics Announced For W-B Residents

WILKES-BARRE — The Wilkes-Barre Health Department has announced a schedule for free flu vaccine clinics in October. All flu vaccine clinics are for city residents only. City residents must bring proof of residency. Quadrivalent influenza vaccine (designed to protect against four different flu viruses) will be available for anyone 6 months of age and older. The high-dose flu vaccine is available for those who are 65 and older. For more information, call the city health department at 570-208-4284 or 570-208-4283 or 570-208-4010. Clinics at the Kirby Health Center, 71 N. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre, are scheduled for: • Oct. 3, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. • Oct. 11, 3 to 7 p.m. • Oct. 15, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. • Oct. 19, 5 to 7 p.m., a drive-through clinic. • Oct. 29, 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 6 p.m. Additional free flu vaccine clinics also are scheduled at: • Kistler Elementary School, 301 Old River Road, Wilkes-Barre, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 13, drive-through clinic. • Hollenback Fire Station, 1020 N.
