SUWANEE, Ga. (AP) _ The Atlanta Falcons on Thursday placed 10-year veteran quarterback Steve Dils on the injured reserve list and claimed defensive lineman Mitch Willis from the Los Angeles Raiders.

Dils is suffering from a cracked bone in the right wrist. He is expected to be out for at least four weeks. Starter Chris Miller, who suffered a sprained ankle and missed three games, will start against the New York Giants Sunday.

Willis, a 6-foot-8, 280-pound, four-year veteran was a seventh-round pick by the Raiders out of Southern Methodist. He has played in 37 games at both nose tackle and defensive end.
