362 enjoy Community Thanksgiving dinner
It’s been a proven place of fellowship for more than 30 years, and it was once again at the Community Thanksgiving dinner at Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
“It’s been good,” said Vicki Dorrell, who is the dinner chairperson. “We usually cap it at 70 volunteers. They all help, … and we get some that walk in and help out.”
For the 32nd year, the Community Thanksgiving dinner was started as a place for those who didn’t have family nearby. The dinner also accepted calls for dinners to be delivered to those who are homebound. Dorrell said there were 362 total dinners served on Thursday and 200 dinners were delivered or taken out.
