TRANSGENDER-ALASKA WOMEN’S SHELTER

JUNEAU _ Alaska’s population has declined for a second consecutive year, dropping by 1,608 people to a total of 736,239, according to a state report. SENT: 215 words.

_ VILLAGE SNOW REMOVAL-FUEL SPILL _ A heavy equipment operator plowing snow in a Yukon River village struck a fuel pipe that spilled diesel.

_ JUDGE THREAT _ A Kenai man who threatened to kill a state judge’s family has been convicted in federal court of mailing a threatening communication.
