DRAKE NAMED HONORARY MEMBER OF HOSPITAL HEART TEAM

CHICAGO (AP) — Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago has made Drake an honorary member of the heart team after his surprise visit to an 11-year-old patient last month. Cardiovascular surgeon Dr. Carl Backer says Drake’s visit to Sofia Sanchez made a difference because it strengthened her attitude before she got a heart transplant. Sanchez caught Drake’s attention after she posted a video of herself dancing to his song “In My Feelings” while hooked to an IV as she waited for a donor heart. Backer says Drake’s visit was an uplifting thing for the entire hospital. He also says Drake’s visit did not influence Sanchez’s place on the waiting list for a heart.
