KAKUI, Japan (AP) _ American David Ishii shot a steady 3-under-par 69 Saturday for a three-shot lead after three rounds of the $345,000 Mizuno Open Men's Golf Tournament.

Ishii, from Hawaii, birdied the 1st, 3rd, 7th and 10th holes and bogeyed only the 8th over the Bijodai course of the Tokinodai Country Club, a 6,804- yard, par-72 layout in central northern Japan.

He was at 14-under-par 202 after 54 holes.

Toru Nakamura was next at 205 after shooting the day's best round, a 68. He had an eagle, six birdies and four bogeys.

Masashi Ozaki, who finished 17th in the U.S. Open last week, was alone at 210 after shooting a 71.

Masahiro Kuramoto, Yoshiyuki Isomura and Takenori Hiraishi were next at 211. Kuramoto had a 70, Isomura a 74 and Hiraishi a 71.

First place in the tournament is worth $62,000.
