NEW YORK (AP) _ Freshman Justin Namolik scored 22 points Saturday night to lead Columbia to a 77-35 victory over Ursinus in Armond Hill’s debut as coach of the Lions.

Hill, starting his first season as a collegiate head coach, was an assistant the past four seasons at Princeton, where he played prior to an NBA career that included stops in Atlanta, Seattle and Milwaukee.

Namolik scored five points as Columbia built a 23-7 lead in the first 10 minutes. By halftime, it was 41-11.

Pat Buyse led the Division III Bears (3-2) with 14 points. Three other Lions joined Namolik in double figures. Matt Fuchs scored 15, Jim Tuberdy had 11 and C.J. Thompkins 10.

The game at Columbia’s Field House drew a crowd of 510.
